Xmas 2008

The Boston Millers: Todd, Devon and Kyle, came to St. Louis for the Xmas Holiday.

They arrived several days late because of the bad weather in the Northeast, but had a great time once here.

An Important Vote for Obama!

My 86 year old mother, June Miller, thought it very important to cast her vote for Barrack Obama.

I took this picture before bringing the ballot to the Post Office.

BIG XMAS in St. Louis this year!

Boston Millers (Todd, Devon and Kyle - his first airplane trip) came in and were joined by Emily and her friend Kevin from Seattle.

Fred Aerating The Lawn - First & LAST Time!

Aerating the lawn is one of the first steps needed before planting seed and fertilizing

Fred had Pedro do it once and decided that even though Pedro made it look easy, it's best left to a professional.

Beverly's new friend Mark, at Kirkwood Supply thought it silly not save money and do it yourself.

Fred's first gut feeling was right!

This machine was a bear to work with:
Heavy, hard to turn, easy to over turn.
I felt like I'd been beat up by the thing!

If our great neighbor Greg Robinson hadn't come along and done a lot of the tough work it Home Depot would have had this monster back earlier and the heck with the lawn!

Steve Todd's 46th Birthday!

The Millers and Clifts got together to celebrate Steve's birthday.

The girls cooled off in the pool and everyone enjoyed steaks and other great food.

We had some friends over for the Labor Day Weekend!

We're having resort weather here in St. Louis and invited a few friends over for Wine and Munchies last night.We enjoyed the evening under our new outdoor chandelier.

The Singers, Blochs, LaRuffas and Robinsons joined us for interesting talk, food and drink.

Nice mixture of Republicans and Democrats!

Back from France!

We're back from Spring Break after a Super Vacation in France.

We went to the Loire Valley where we saw big, beautiful castles and then spent two days in Paris.

Look how big our grandson is getting!
Here's a picture of Kyle at just a few days old and another one today at 8 weeks old. Cassie still isn't too thrilled about being forced to pose for photos . . .

Today Devon took Kyle to get some shots.
It was probably worse for her than it was for him.
He took it like a champ! His poor thighs might be a little sore, but after a short cry and a nice nap, Kyle was back to his happy self.

He also had a regular check up. Kyle is now 12 lb 3 oz and 23 inches long. That is the 75th percentile for both weight and height, the Dr. was pleased!

I know the guys are going to feel the pressure and try to duplicate the present I bought Beverly, but she's so proud of it I had to post it.

Not every guy is as sensitive to a woman's needs as I am.

First Grandchild

Beverly and I just returned from Boston where we enjoyed Thanksgiving with our new grandson, Kyle Shale Miller
and his parents, Todd and Devon Miller.

My dad died 10/17/2006.
Kyle was born 11/11/2006.
This truly is 'The Circle of Life' we've all heard about.
